Summary: Sturdy, Comfortable, Good Sound 2008-11-14
Comment: I needed headphones to use in a workshop situation where I have 10-20 people listening to a single sound source. When I saw these headphones with the extra long cords and volume control, I was instantly sold.
The straight style cord is good for bundling, storage and moving. I have another pair of headphones with a curly cord that is a pain to untangle after they have been in a bag.
The over the ear cup design is perfect to insulate people from outside sounds. They are adjustable for different head shapes and sizes. The sound quality is good (not excellent), but adequate for my needs. They are sturdy, so I don't worry about them getting broken during transport.
If you are buying many headphones for public use, I really think these can't be beat.

Summary: What I learned 2008-10-25
Comment: I've had these headphones for a very short time and they were purchased so that I can watch something on a small tv set in the same room as the one in which my husband is watching FOOTBALL on a larger, newer set. When I used the headphones the first time I was very dismayed to find the sound only worked in the left ear. I have since found that it is the tv set which is monaural not the headphones. My son-in-law was able to purchase an adapter of some kind from Radio Shack which solved the problem. They are NOT sound blocking,but they were not advertised as such. However,now that I can hear out of both sides is at least easier to ignore the surrounding noise.
I'm giving them 5 stars for the moment; I reserve the right to revise my opinion if necessary.

Users say these are good headphones.
The ones I received did not work at all.
Tried them in several stereo, radio, even TV jacks....nope.
I had to go to radio shack and buy interface plugs.
Overall...not so hot
But I would still like to know how well they work
