Summary: Disappointing, Poorly Designed Product 2008-04-20
Comment: I was very disappointed with these ear buds. The design is extremely poor.
1.) For some reason the ear buds come with a very short wire (13") which isn't even long enough to reach to your pocket. At first I thought that was the only wire until I found that there's an extension cord as well. The extension cord is an additional 48". So there is a really long cable as a result with a big extension adapter.
2.) The ear buds are not symmetrical so that the left ear cable is very short and the right ear cable is long. This puts an uneven amount of weight on the left ear bud which periodically pulls it from the ear. This is helped along by the unnecessarily long cable and extension cable.
3.) The ear buds are much too bass heavy but the sound quality other than that is okay.
4.) There is a lot of static interference.
5.) The left or right ear bud cut out often due to the extension segment.
I had a $12.00 pair of ear buds that I got from Best Buy that I used for about a year before they died. I couldn't find a replacement of the same pair so I gave these a try. I don't think I would ever purchase a Radius product again. I'm not an audiophile and all I really look for in ear buds is extremely simple functionality. Unfortunately these buds don't even seem to have basic functionality. I'm going to continue to use my Apple ear buds until I find a better brand than this.
I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
