These are super easy to connect. Receiver box just rests near your sound output (sound system, tv, stereo etc.) and it picks up the sound perfectly. I got on the treadmill and could hear every word of my movie without blasting my family out too. You need to buy two AAA rechargeable batteries to put in so they actually become "rechargeable." I did charge the headset with the new rechargeable batteries inserted overnight and everything is perfect. They are light weight and yet fit soundly around your ears. No bulky antennas and the volume dial is easy to feel and operate.
