Rocketfish Universal Wireless HD Audio Starter Kit RF-RBKIT

I have a Logitech THX 5.1 channel system. I have had this speaker system for a very long time. I have always complained about finding a decent place to run wires, as I prefer to rent and not own. So through walls, or ceiling isn't ever an option. I've been creative in the past, running along baseboards, or under stairs, under rugs.
This kit works flawlessly, no latency, no deminished volume, none of the usual issues with wireless speaker kits. This kit is different from the other Rocketfish kit in that this one supports HD audio. Also you can get two receivers to have up to 7.1 channel system support.
Setup was a breeze. Plug the sender into my logitech ports for the rear left and right. Plug the two rear speakers into the reciever, and turn both units on. Presto instant wireless system. We bought this because we were tired of looking at the rear speaker wires & were excited about the wireless option. Worked good for about 6 months. Then it started cutting in & out. Didn't do it all the time so it was ok. The receiver was only about 12 feet away & in direct vision so there really shouldn't have been any interference. There wasn't any other electrical equipment nearby either. It was sporadic so we had no idea what was causing it. Then it went out completely. Wired the speakers directly & they worked fine. Reset the receiver = nothing. We waited till the weekend to trouble shoot & called the customer service line & discovered we were 3 DAYS past the one year warranty. Would they help? No. Would they discount a new system? No. Could they do ANYTHING? My experience with these Rocketboost products has been a mixed bag so far. When they work, the resulting sound is great! They are extremely sensitive to location and walls though.

I've purchased two of the RF-RBKIT bundles and one of the RF-RBAUX units as well. I've got one configured as a hub in my media cabinet driving a set of rear surround speakers in our living room. This arrangement has worked flawlessly and the receiver drives my surround speakers perfectly. The sound is great! I liked them so much I bought a second pair for the family room and hooked them up to stream music from our office PC. Once again the sound is great but they are plagued by intermittent cutting out during playback that's really annoying. You may get several songs without a hitch and then suddenly get several annoying drop-outs on one track. It seems totally random.
