Summary: Sennheiser CX500 Ear-Canal Phones 2008-06-16
Comment: Wow! I give this product five stars. These in-ear phones do just what is expected, i.e. faithfully reproduce music while blocking ambient noise. In fact, they are so effective at tuning out the rest of the world that I missed one telephone call and almost missed another, with the telephone ringer on "loud" and in the same room. The phones are comfortable and come with three sets of covers, so they will fit no matter what size your ear canals. But I digress. If you want true sound, at a good price, buy these phones. Word is that they will improve with use. If that's the case, I will be even happier soon. I am using them with a 5G 80GB iPod.
It bears mentioning that these are the second set I have purchased. I bought a set from most-digital.com that are counterfeit and have instituted proceedings to secure a refund from that company, and have notified SennheiserUSA that these counterfeit phones are on the market. It took about two minutes to determine that they weren't of the promised quality. If they ship from the Far East, they are not Sennheisers. See the OEM website for details.
