I recently purchased these headphones from crutchfield and have subsequently returned them. For wireless headphones, these are truly remarkable and I have not heard any other wireless headphones that come close to their sound quality. However, contrary to what these headphones are advertised as, they are not a wireless version of the HD600s or the HD650s. I did find that the upper and lower frequencies were not as sufficiently presented compared to the aforementioned models and they did sound a little "thin". The soundstage was excellent with a definite sense of air between the different instruments. The frequency response of the RS220 is 16-22,000 Hz while the HD600s have a frequency response of 12 - 39,000 Hz. Hello - thanks for your comments and review. Note that the RS 220 also features a digital input array and "thru" mode, which does indeed add to manufacturing cost but exponentially assists in connection to hi-definition audio sources within a hi-fi stack.

I've got another set of RS-180 Sennheiser wireless headphones that I use at work which work amazingly well, so I sprung for this more expensive set for my home use. I'm literally about 2 feet from the receiver and I've been experiencing quite a few issues with the sound dropping out on me. I've also found that the headset will occasionally lose the analog signal on the base unit and show no lights for any of the types of signals passing through the base unit. I have to reach up and cycle the power on the base unit to regain sound.

The sound, when it comes through, is passable for what I'd expect from a wireless headset and I love the feel and weight of the headset on my head. I've had headphones that leave my ears hot, but I don't particularly notice that with these headphones.

If I didn't have so many problems with the sound cutting out, I'd actually enjoy this headset. I've had this headset for about a month and a half (hoping the sound problems will...Read more
