I've been using these earphones for running for about 2 years and love them. I hate wires hanging down my back or catching on my arm while I run. I also hated digging in a pocket to change songs or mute the music. These solved the problems. They are very comfortable and easy to skip or mute songs. They fold up small in a little pouch. I do have to 'rework' the wire occasionally as they sometimes get bent out of the perfect shape for my head. But, it's not a big deal to correct. The wire is very pliable and adjustable. I've had no problem wearing them with a hat either.

i listen to my little gen 4 ipod shuffle on and off throughout the day -- and that's the beauty of these things.... they're on and off my head many times daily. they go on in seconds and for the most part, adhere perfectly -- no dangling cords to get yanked out, no need to find someplace to attach shuffle. it's completely out of the way and in a relatively protected spot, yet immediately accessible to pause or adjust volume. caveat: i found adjusting it to fit may be a bit finnicky and funky, with lots of trial and error to fine tune the way the semi-stiff cords are bent to get the right fit. but it's worth the effort. (originally designed for gen 2, you can buy their "adapted" model for geg 4 which means they've removed a plastic tab that holds on the 2nd generation shuffle; without that, arriva includes a small rubber band to ensure the gen 4 stays on -- but: i have never used it and in nearly a year, never had a 4th gen shuffle fall off.)

My husband wanted them for Christmas and he loves them. Much easier than the regular earphones.
