The bass may be lacking a bit for a lot of people who like their music to thump, and they're a bit on the bulky side for earphones. I don't like the fact that when your working out you have to have the 3 ft. extension in place or anything you do for that matter because the regular chord is way too short. I can tell you they sound good. Real good. I can also tell you that the foam ear pieces work just like foam earplugs. They make listening to my iPod while mowing the lawn a realistic option. Just keep in mind I have an electric mower. I'm assuming they'll be great next time I'm on a plane.
What I can say is that I can't see how they aren't worth the money with the discount you can find on the SE110 since the SE115 was released. The only thing similar is the Klipsch Custom headphones. Take a look at those and decide which is best for you. Lastly, the Shure Se110 headphones do seem perfect for Gen 1 and 2 of the Apple iPod Clip. They have a REALLY short headphone cord just for people who have their MP3 player attached to the top front of their shirt. --They do include an extension cable for the rest of us. -RM |
