Summary: Give it a little 2008-12-01
Comment: I got these headphones direct from the Skullcandy site, and what can I say? Out of the box, they were a little tight, but bearable, the sound felt like it was a little edgy, but as I kept on listening and made it what I used for everything, the parts loosened to fit my head. Not enough to lose their shape, but enough to give it more comfort. The next problem, the sound, was fixed soon after, and it sounds incredible. I don't think I will be buying from anyone else in the near future.

Summary: Cozy Comfort 2008-11-23
Comment: I really didn't think that I would like the fur. Skull headphones always are tight on my head, so wearing these with the default leatherette ear pads was a tad uncomfortable. So I swapped them for the fur pads, and wow! Instant Teddy Bear comfort.
The sound is OK. They aren't the Bose, but also don't come with a Bose price tag.
There is a 3.5mm cable coming out just one side, which isn't too long. Unlike earlier models of their headphones, it doesn't detach (too bad too). It ends in a 3.5mm jack. Then they come with a little longer cable to hook up with it, which also ends with a 3.5mm jack (they come with a gold-plated adapter though, so no worries.) The cabling is white to match the headphones, so that is a nice touch, looking polished. The side of each phone has nice embossing-another polished touch. These had some thought put into their looks, and don't look dorky like my last SC Proletariats. So, overall, I am happy with these (they are SC's replacement for a warranty, as described below).
You'll wanna know that this company really does honor their great warranty. I had purchased one of their other headphones here at Amazon. They developed a short in them. Now their warranty states that they'll replace them for free if the problem is on their end. If the problem is because you mowed over them, they replace them, but you pay 50%. Now I was concerned that the company would say to me that the short was my fault. So I sent them in for warranty (consumer pays shipping--and one may wanna insure too), and I hoped for the best. Well, I received better! They no longer carried my $100 model, so offered me a $100 credit to use for ANY item(s) on their website. I ended up with Full Metal Jacket Chrome buds AND this TI model, which went way over my $100 credit. Guess what? They shipped BOTH for free, and didn't charge me for the extra! Now this is an honorable company that bends over backwards to please. I am certain SONY, BOSE, etc wouldn't give me the time of day. Also, their customer service was patient with me, as I had many questions about the models. They answered each in a very timely manner. After spending about 1 1/2 weeks choosing, they said it would take a few weeks getting to me. Yep, exactly that too. Now if SkullCandy could give other companies lessons on what it means to honor a warranty...

Summary: okay for djing / needs more bass 2008-11-18
Comment: I was very happy when these came in the mail. These headphones look totally pimp. They came with interchangeable ear pieces (furry or leather). I think the fur makes it look more girly so I decided to use the leather replacements. The package also contained a pouch, a cool sticker and a stencil (with instructions suggesting to go tag up your skateboard, a wall or your cat).
Now, I found the sound to be crisp and clear but I, unfortunately, had to frown at the volume range as well as the lack of punchy bass. When I hooked up these sexy looking phones to my computer, I realized I had to turn the volume way up to get some noise out of 'em. I even had to turn up my sub to only be left with weak bass =(
I then decided to connect them to my 2 channel dj mixer, that I use for mixing vinyl on my turntables, which wasn't too bad.
Well, It turns out that I'll be using these for mixing vinyl rather than my comp or my mp3 player. It's too bad though 'cause they look great but at least I got 'em at a great price (half off) and I can use them for djing. 3 stars tops.

Summary: Terribly cheap and ineffective for their price. 2008-11-15
Comment: Having been long frustrated by cheap headphones and looking for a more high end and fashionable pair, I figured the price, appearance, and good reviews of this pair were a good indicator. The bass is weak, but that's the least of my problems. First off, I'm not a large headed person, but these were so tight and stiff that I had headaches for a long time using them. The plastic adjusters are brittle and snapped within a month or two of use, and the wiring inside is thin and snapped soon after, leaving me with a pair of useless headphones. They may LOOK fantastic, but it lacks quality sound and is as breakable as any five dollar pair.

Summary: Very painful. 2008-10-01
Comment: Wow, I really wanted to love these. I'd seen them last winter (right before Xmas) but everyone was sold out, and then I kinda forgot about them. So when I stumbled upon them last month I ordered them from Amazon (the pink fur).
They are so cool to look at - and over three songs I did not notice any lack of bass; they sounded just fine to me, just as good as my Eggos and PX100s and Super.fi 5 Pro...well, maybe not as good as that last one. But they are SO heavy! Before those three songs were even over, I could feel the pain on top of my head and dragging down my ears. After 5-6 songs my ears were painfully squashed, too.
I'm going to play around with the fit for a while and see if that helps, but if not, I will sadly have to return them. Too bad, because the price, looks and sound are all quite decent. I could even understand some of REM's lyrics that I'd never been able to make out before!
