I had used ipod earphones for over a year, but after the rubber pulled off of the second pair, I was looking for an alternative. A friend recommend trying this style of earbud, where it is fitted in the ear canal. I was a bit wary, worried that they would be uncomfortable in my ears. But since they come with 3 sizes of earplugs, it wasn't a problem. They are quite comfortable. The difference between these and other earphones was amazing from the start. The style blocks out so much more ambient noise. I can have piano music playing fairly softly and barely hear myself typing. The sound quality from this product is excellent. Everything I've listened to is incredibly clear. I'm hearing instruments that I would have never heard before. I did a quick comparison by just listening to the same song on both earphones...there was no competition. These sounded so much better. The ipod earbuds, which are still good quality, sound tinny and I had to...Read more 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Sony MDR-EX33LP/BLU EX Style Headphones (Blue) (Electronics) These are the only headphones I'll buy from now on to use with my iPods and iPhones. I used to burn through headphones like crazy. I am admittedly pretty rough on them: I exercise with them, sleep with them, throw them in backpacks and purses, wad them up in my pockets, etc. I had a terrible time finding pairs that were both comfortable and durable. These fit the bill like a glove. They are really comfortable in my ears. My ears are small and the giant awkward headphones that come standard with Apple products make me crazy--they torture my ears and won't stay in for more than a few seconds. Makes me insane! These, on the other hand, fit great, come with 3 different sizes of removable tips in case you need to adjust the fit, and are so comfortable that I can sleep on my side with them in and I barely notice them. I've also gone through dozens of aftermarket pairs of phones that eventually start cutting out due to the wires fraying or bending from use. I'm sure many of you can related...Read more 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Susanna M. Fee (Windsor, CA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Sony MDR-EX33LP/BLU EX Style Headphones (Blue) (Electronics) I have been frustated, time and again, with all ear-bud type earphones (and blue tooth head sets) that require the outer ear canal as the key element in getting the earphone to stay attached. My ear canal diameter must be in the extreme low outlier range, because NOTHING FITS! Apple earbuds-even the smallest ones, fell out-but the sound quality on Apple buds is poor anyway. I tried Skull Candy, the smaller outer cap fit, sorta, sounded better than Apple's, but they are all decorative, and the decorations fall off in a few days. I am on my third pair of these Sony ear buds, not due to any product flaw, but to misuse: The first pair got ripped up. When I replaced them, I bought the last two pairs in the store. My second pair died (several days) after the buds themselves got soaked with water. They are that comfortable, and stay in so well, that I forget about them, and accidentally yanked one out into running water when I was washing my face. I did it with the other...Read more |
