Summary: Sony MDR-RF960RK 900 MHz RF Wireless Headphones with Auto Tuning 2008-10-01
Comment: I bought this with great regret after reading all negative vibe's on feedback. I thought I should just return them and look for something else. When I got the shipment, it was in a factory plastic container and I thought what the hell, open it and check it out at least. Well, I couldn't wait to use them. I placed a fresh set of Duracell Procell's in them and started listening. WOW! To my amazement, I could walk outside, walk anywhere in a one story house and hear clear as a bell. But wait, all that negative fb, I went back to read the manual/book. The supplied batteries are of the rechargeable type yes, but ONLY 1.2 volts each. Rechargeable AAA batteries [...] are 1.5 volts each. Any time you drop the voltage by more than one half volt (0.6V), the performance and range will suffer. Now I can understand all the negative feedback this product has received. Also read there are no replacement batteries available. Not true! I just showed you replacement AAA batteries above that contain 1.5 volts each. These head phones work great at 3 volts and I haven't tried the supplied batteries of 2.4 volts. 0.6 volt drop can cause issues agreed. I am happy with this product and glad I gave them a test drive. For the price I paid here at Amazon, the couple extra bucks you pay for real rechargeable batteries adds a small amount to the total cost. I recommend throwing the supplied batteries away, keeping them for back-up, buying real rechargeable batteries, or just use standard AAA batteries from Duracell or Energizer for maximum performance. Nice to be off the leash so to speak and walk around doing house chores and listening to TV or my favorite tunes from my computer with these cordless beauties. I like them a lot! Enjoy yours too!!

Summary: nice product 2008-09-08
Comment: I really have to say that these headphones work better than I expected. I enjoy not having to deal with being wired to something. I use them at work and it is great to be able to get up and get things from other parts of my office.
The sound quality is good. The batteries last all day while I am at work. They are fully charged for use the next day. Save on having to buy batteries.

Summary: Bad auto-tuning 2008-05-18
Comment: Good sound quality
Poor auto-tuning feature causes interferences and noise. Requires finding a good position and not changing position for good sound quality.
I have also a model without auto-tuning, which I recommend as much better selection.

Summary: Can't complain for the price 2008-04-06
Comment: I bought these headphones as a Christmas gift to my husband in 2005. He loves them. And I love them more because he can go in the kitchen, mute the TV, and I can continue sleeping without having to listen the TV. When my parents were visiting this past month they really liked them and my Dad ended up buying one through Amazon. Needless to say, he loves them too. Since he's retired he has more time to watch TV or listen to music. This way he can sit in the family room and listen to the TV/Stereo without having to listen to my mother's noise in the background. He's even sat in the W/C and enjoyed his programs! A little static but not enough to be annoyed with.
