The Sony MDR XB21EX are definitely an amazing buy. I've owned Skullcandy Dub ($10), Skullcandy Ink'd ($20) Skullcandy TiTan's ($40), Skullcandy FMJ ($70) and Skullcandy G.I. ($70). These much better, I've even used my friend's pair of Beat's Solo and they do not even compare to these headphones. In a few simple words, they have amazing bass. The flat chord is a nice feature, preventing tangling. The low bass in Dubstep and Hip-Hop sound clear and strong, while high bass, such as guitar riffs and bass grooves in Rock and Alternative, sound really clear and rich. The angled ends and the soft gel tips feel really comfortable, and the gel tips come in different sizes. Over-all, I think these headphones sounds EXTRAORDINARY and for only $35 (with shipping and taxes) they are definitely worth every penny.

I was really positively surprised about the Sony XB21EX.
The sound is (to me) almost comparable with the headphones I tried in the 100 USD range, these sounded better in my ears than the Sennheiser MM30i for twice the money, and almost as good as Klipsch S4 (80 USD on Amazon) and the Monster and a Ultimate Ears models both priced around 100 USD here in Hong Kong.
Granted I bought them today and haven't had time to fully test them, I can tell you they have none of the sound issues that usually bother me with more inexpensive headphones.
No annoying scraping/feedback on S-sounds, bass is strong but sounds good and not "over done", good dynamic range and clear vocals. Nothing to complain about! They fit great and feel very well built, didn't fall out once during a 1,5 hr gym session and were comfortable throughout.
My last Sony ear buds were a big disappointment, way too much bass and the quality felt quite shady for the price. But I think I now have...Read more

Incredible headphones.
The bass is awesome. I tottaly recommended it for rock and roll fans. You will here sounds that you haven't heard before.
Worth every penny.
You will not regret this purchase.
