Summary: Sony MDRRF970RK 900 MHz Analog RF Wireless Headphone 2008-11-28
Comment: I bought these for my 90 year old mother who has difficulty understanding the TV except at very high volume. She loves these. The sound is great and they turn on when she puts them on. No tiny switches to look for. TV is enjoyable again. They were easy to set up and she has no problem putting them into the charging stand in the proper orientation. Highly recommended.

Comment: It is the frst purchase of wireless headset I made. I recently bought a 42" Bravia, with the blu-ray reader, and a home theater system. I am globally very happy of it. But, it is difficult to enjoy it once the kids are in bed... Ok, I had already put down 2500$, so why not put an extra 100$? I therefore went to Best buy and found this set. The only one truly available. Plus, it was from Sony, so I thought it was the best fist for my system.
Well, I hate it. Truly, this is the worst purchase I amde. I am right now looking for my ticket to turn it back. I hate is soo much, especially as I expected so much out of it.
I cannot complain too much about the quality of the sound. It is globally ok.
What is really bothering about the headset is the way it charges and the battery liftime (like mentionned in other reviews above).
It is sooo bad that I cannot tolerate Sony puts it on the market. It is an ok headset, sound-wise, but it is truly not useable:
- The battery will drain if not on the headset.
- To align correctly the headset requires special skills. If not properly aligned, it will drain.
- Even if aligned, a little something will make it misaligned, and therefore it will drain.
Now after just 3 weeks, the batteries are just permanently drained. The battery is dead, and will therefore not charge anymore. I spent 100$ on it, and only watched 6h, total of movie time. Also to be mentionned that at first charge, I only could watch 1:45min of movie before battery went bad. So do not choose to watch the ten commendments when you use it.
I hate it. Although, Sony provides on average quality items for the standard consumer, this item is just C-R-A-P!
I hope this review just avoids any more consummers from buying it.

Summary: Very Nice! 2008-10-15
Comment: These headphones work great!!! Good sound. Easy recharging. Very convenient on and off. The only drawback is they pick up some moderate interference occasionally. I haven't been able to figure out what it is from yet. Moving my head seems to mitigate it most of the time. It may be because I have the transmitter crammed between my stereo equipment and the TV. I still recommend them.

Comment: Being 70% deaf I bought these to enjoy tv again. They do that job very well. No problems with the turning off mentioned. They are a bit bulky but are very comfortable to wear. I go all over the house and never lose the sound. Great!
