They were purchased for our teen who loves spongebob.
So, I can't speak to the audio quality but she loves them.
She said the ear plugs don't block out surrounding noise completely so she can still hear us.. which means if she doesn't answer, she's ignoring us and has just told on herself! ;)

I could not imagine headphones sounding so terrible. They sound muffled and the base is all wrong. I bought these for my 6 year old because I thought they were smaller but they are the same size as the small adult earbud head phones and are not child sized.

Tip broke off in my sons IPad. We are unable to get it out. Now we are out headphones and an iPad.. Be careful with expensive stuff. Make sure end is firmly in place before inserting it in something. The iPad still thinks it has head phones.
