Spoiler: they're broken already, and I'm avoiding this company in the future]
Bought these for my iphone since they're one of the few earbuds that have the microphone and control button. I have a pair of Bose headphones (these were to be my every-day-on-the-subway headphone), and they sound just as good (slightly different sound balance -- a lot crisper on the low end). Microphone and button work fine, and sound isolation is actually pretty good -- they makes the Boston subway tolerable. The problem I have with these is everything else. They have an awful "stethoscope effect" -- casually tapping the wires sounds like someone's beating on your ears. Forget about walking with these -- you hear your every step, plus a thumping every time the wire bounces against your shirt. Don't even think about working out with them. They don't fit well and always fall out of my ears (none of the three sizes are particular...Read more 12 of 12 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Ultimate Ears MetroFi 150v Noise Isolating Earphones with Microphone (Personal Computers) I bought these in January. I live in Chicago and take public transit so headphones are fantastic. I never really noticed the bouncing of the wire sounds but after 4 months of having the ear phones, the right ear bud went out. I contacted customer service for the product who discussed the problem with me. They recommended to do a product switch; however, as soon as we were getting the logistics sorted out with the logictech customer service (found this on the earphones website), they told me to contact the company directly which has resulted in nothing but no answers and an even more headache. So in the process of trying to get this sorted out, I have continued using them. Now the left ear is going in and out. Soon these will be useless and I have still not gotten anything in response. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Ultimate Ears MetroFi 150v Noise Isolating Earphones with Microphone (Personal Computers) These isolating headphones sound very good for the price. They do not produce extremely deep bass, but that was to be expected. The isolating ear buds are a bit to get used to when using voice over the iphone as there is a bit of echo (internal reverberation), which is cured by removing the left earbud. The build is solid around the jack and phones, however the wires are a bit on the thin side. The remote push-button is rather large and easily pressed by mistake. It also hangs very low (middle of the sternum) for those you accustom to the Iphone earbuds. All in all a nice pair of earbuds for the price and performance. |
