Comment: V-Moda, you giveth and then taketh away.
I've just gone through my second pair. Why did I buy another pair after the first one suddenly stopped working? Because the sound quality on these is BEYOND excellent: if you're a fan of dubstep or pounding, pounding bass music you will love these. For 2-6 weeks. Then one ear will cut out.
They really will: notice how reviews for ALL V-Moda products are unusually stratified? Search for it and you'll find a whole ton of 5-star reviews from fresh-out-of-the-box honeymooners and yet, also very popular, a whole ton of bitter people who owned these for a few weeks and then... poof! Out they go. Reviews for electronics aren't supposed to be stratified like this unless, of course, they have a lifespan of a gnat. This isn't a controversial book by Glenn Beck, it's *earbuds* - earbuds are generally not a polarizing, touchy subject. Statistically, with this many reviews, you should see a regular distribution.
The man who sold them to me (for I bought them in a store) said this happens all the time because the wiring in the buds themselves is unusually thin and has the diameter of a hair. In other words, by amplifying the bass, they are ensuring their own destruction. I once had an oven with a similar design flaw: after a few months, it melted itself.
Anyway, they are orgasmic and yet, destined to end up in your trash can. They will spoil you and when they suddenly expire without any warning or provocation, you will be incredibly sad; it will be as sad as getting dumped by the person you love. You can buy another pair of V-Modas like I did, but she'll never change -- she's not looking for a relationship, just a hot fling. You can replace them some Sonys or Boses or whatever, but it won't be the same with them. You'll miss these.
Sigh. It was great while it lasted. Twice.

Comment: These earbuds were a disapointment. If you like a tinny sound, then go for it. I like some bass with my tunes, thank you. Earbuds are really comfortable. Too bad the sound is not as good as the comfort. I should have known. you get what you pay for.

Comment: I got these with Pepsi points back a while ago and they sounded ok. Personally I think my iphone buds sounded better...fuller. These have good bass thats about it. They also were not very durable and mine broke like 2 weeks after use

Comment: Got these as a present for my boyfriend and he loves them! He says they're great at work when he wants to listen to his music and not be disturbed. Excellent sound quality- a huge improvement over the cheap pair he was using.
I had to reassure him that I didn't spend too much for them.
These are a BARGAIN for the price.
