These earphones have a fabric-covered cable. The unfortunate thing about this cable is that when it rubs against your clothes, or anything else, the rubbing noise is transmitted directly to your ear. I compared them to a similar model of earphone from another manufacturer that has a vinyl-like cable jacket, and the noise is much worse with the v-moda remix 4s.

I also bought these at Costco, so I paid less than the price I see here, but a bit more than the others reviewers seem to've done. (Lucky them.)

I use an iPod Touch while exercising on an elliptical machine, or sometimes a treadmill or stationary bike. I've put up with the white Apple earbuds for a couple of years now. I enjoy listening to my music, but I think I am fairly easily pleased by sound quality. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch.

Having picked these up on a whim at Costco today, I checked Amazon reviews before opening the package. Yikes! The reviews sounded so bad. But my Apple earbuds fall out of my ears every day while I work out, and I'm SO sick of that. I decided to take the chance and try them knowing Costco will take them back in any case.

Happily, during 20 minutes on my elliptical machine, I did not have any problem with these headphones. The sound quality is superior to the Apple 'buds, though anything that stayed put would likely...Read more

I just put these through the wash and dryer on accident and they still work perfectly! I have never noticed the rubbing of the cables causing noise like some of the other reviews say. Good sound with pretty good bass response. One disappointing thing is that the remote only has play/pause, no volume control.
