I saw these headphones in the movie 500 Days of Summer, and really liked the retro style. I'd been meaning to replace some of my older ones, and thought these would be a nice addition. After doing some research, I read some good and bad things - some people said the sound quality was bad, some people said it was good. I decided to throw caution to the wind and just pick some up. Big mistake.

They look really cool, the design seems sturdy and very wearable. However, the sound quality was terrible. I'm no audiophile, but I do have experience with good headphones. And I'm not kidding when I say my iPod earbuds sound better and have infinitely more clarity than these did. At first, I actually thought there might be something wrong with them. Everything was super muddy and impossible to enjoy. I even sent them back to the manufacturer to get them checked out, thinking naively that there's no way a $75 pair of headphones could sound that bad. Well, they sent me back a new pair,...Read more

These weSC bongos are ideal for the everyday listener with the mp3 on the go, or at home on the computer. These certainly do NOT meet the high standards of those who consider themselves audiophiles. But audiophiles are not the only music lovers, and I think the rest of us will agree that these are high quality cans.

I bought these to replace my Bose headphones, which have finally worn out. I was at first skeptic about this choice (they were more advertised as fashion accessory headphones rather than listening headphones when I looked these up online), but my doubts have been cleared away and I'm glad I bought these headphones.

Sound:
The mid and bass are nothing to complain about. I listen to everything from classical to dance to hip-hop, and these headphones serve well throughout these genres. Not too heavy when listening to classical, but still delivers a strong kick when listening to dance mixes. Can't ask for much more - the bass is excellent for this...Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Built for style, March 6, 2011

I bought these because they were stylish, and they've got some good points. I really like the fit; it's snug, secure, and they don't feel like they're going anywhere. And it's nice in colder weather because they clamp down so nicely on your head, although that does make them a bit warm to wear in hotter weather.

In terms of sheer functionality, the sound quality is nothing to brag about. It's not as clear and crisp as you would want it to be.

Clearly not intended for serious sound junkies, but for a stylish pair of headphones, they're not bad.
