As for the uneven length of the cord, I suppose I can understand the confusion for no where on the package is this explained and it is assumed the user knows- it is meant to be put around the back of your neck so when you take them off they hang over your shoulders and not on the ground. Hope that helps. Sound. Truly great. Deep bass, even mids, and treble. I'm extremely picky with headphone sounds and prefer the sound of the Koss Porta-Pros and their various spin-offs. They're just a pain to lie down at night with, including the clip-on versions. These remind me of that sound if you know what I'm talking about; no over emphasized, perhaps fake is the word, bass that you'll find in cheap headphones. Testing these at a flat frequency (where most faulter) brings surprising good sound, even for a...Read more 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: White In-ear Headphones (Electronics) I have, over the past year, owned a number of headphones including Sony MDR-EX71SL, Shure E2c, and MyMusic MY603s. After my Sonys finally broke, as all EX71s do sooner or later (6 mos. for me), I set out to find an affordable pair of high quality in-ear headphones. My first sop was the Shures which proved to be a real pain to use and highly disappointing. Next I tried the Korean made MY603s which proved to be a complete waste of time and money as they sound terrible and are utter junk. I finally chanced upon these JVC earbuds only a few days after they became available in the US, and seeing positive reviews I quickly ordered them. I could not be more impressed. The earbuds are comfortable, they do an amazing job of isolating noise, and most importantly sound spectacular. The highs are played neatly and crisply without any overbearing "tinny-ness". The mids sound rich and full. The lows also sound clean and are not as annoyingly bassy as the EX71s. I have only a few small...Read more 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: White In-ear Headphones (Electronics) These are the same spesker elements as the more expensive Sony. The problem I have with the Sony is the stupid offset (one earbud wire longer than the other, this still has that) and the fact that the casing peels away from the wire if it is exposed to the dirty conditions I work in. THe JVC model while not as elegant with the double wire held up longer, still failed after a few months but lasted longer than the Sony's at half the price. Great sound, better than the Apple in ear. Haven't tried the Shure's but considering how often I change these out it'd be a real shame to spend $100 on bare copper wire. |
